I was a State Correctional Officer, and now the training coordinator for same during the daylight hours. Just before and after the twilight,
I am an ABE teacher.
Having graduated with a BS in Elementary Education (Summa cum laude), minor in Psychology and concentration in History...at the age of 50, I tend to live my life sideways and a bit backwards...but I am quite happy.
I was married for a long time which produced two children and three grandchildren. I tried my best to instill the lessons in my first book: ~Miss K.A.R.E.N.'S. Mystical Magical Emerald Green Garden Shed~ to my girl and boy children and I believe they stuck rather nicely indeed. I spend my off time reading, playing my beloved piano, painting in acrylic, riding my super cool bright yellow 2006 Honda Reflex, growing what will grow on my hilly backyard, and exploring wherever the spirit takes me.
Books and art... pure joy.
I was born on the first Sunday of Advent in 1962.
When I paint in my art room,
I prefer using acrylic.
When I play the piano in my living room,
I prefer reading the music.
When I draw illustrations,
I prefer the 2H drawing pencil.
When I play the clarinet,
I prefer using my father's from 1939.
When I photograph what catches my eye,
I prefer my Kodak 10x from 2004.
When I read a book,
I prefer holding the pages in my hands.
Much of my inspiration comes from watching and listening.
I keep notes in my pocket. I pen reminders on my palm. Chalk on a rock will do.
Everywhere and anywhere ideas are formed, keeping track of them requires no thought, just writing, writing, writing.
